Punto 301 was founded in May 2020 when three professionals decided to take over a historic textile company that had been in business since the 1960s and was about to close. The goal was not just to save a business, but to preserve a wealth of knowledge and a manufacturing tradition that had shaped Ticino's economy for decades. In this context, Punto 301 represents continuity and renewal: a contemporary manufacturing company grounded in the local sartorial culture with a new entrepreneurial vision. Today, the company has become a technical partner for brands and designers seeking quality clothing production in Switzerland.
The founders
Line Michel
A clothing technician trained in Lugano, Line developed her professional experience collaborating with leading Swiss designers such as Claudia Güdel and Ida Gut. At Punto 301, she is responsible for production and coordinates the design, manufacturing, and quality control of garments. Her role thus bridges design and production, ensuring technical precision and operational efficiency.
Michela Quadri
Designer, seamstress, and tailoring instructor, Michela graduated in fashion design from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan and completed her training as a pattern maker in Lausanne. Founder of the Lamiration brand and instructor at SAMS Lugano, she oversees collection development and is responsible for administrative and personnel organisation.
Giulia Fratini
A dressmaker and costume designer trained in Geneva, Giulia has gained experience creating costumes for film, television, and theatre. At Punto 301, she handles communications, client relations, and collection promotion. She brings artisanal sensibility, a focus on sustainability, and strong interpersonal skills to the company.
